Truvada is an FDA-approved antiretroviral drug for the treatment of HIV/AIDS that combines two medications in one tablet: tenofovir disoproxil fumarate (TDF, 300 mg) and emtricitabine (FTC, 200 mg).
In July of 2012 the US Food and Drug Administration approved Truvada for the prevention of HIV infection in sexually active adults.
